Sep 22, 2014 Got one yesterday when I switched from the Akai MPK MINI to the Korg Microkey and it works awesome with GarageBand and loads of other apps, too! And the Microkey is highly recommended as a mini-controller it has 3 octaves, a pitch and mod wheel, and absolutely the best playing action I've ever experienced on a mini keyboard. I have a new Akai MINI mpk midi controller that I am using with the most current version of garageband. I am using this controller to lay down a sick organ track via a 'B-3' virtual instrument track. My question: can I assign one of the pads on the Akai (or knobs, dont really care) to control the 'chorale/slow/fast' speeds on the rotary speaker?
Audiobus is the app that makes the rest of your setup better.

I was wondering if anyone with the new iPad Pro has gotten the MPK Mini to work without a powered hub? I know on other iOS devices you had to give the device some kind of power but I’m wondering if the USB C port removes this issue. I’m asking because Akai released a new colorway for it and I honestly don’t think I can pass on it. I love my novation launchkey mini but the color on this has me stuck.
